I am very proud of the opportunity to serve Lexington ISD this coming school year and for years to come. I am so excited about the teachers, students, families and community that I get to serve in the capacity of Elementary Principal. Education has been paramount in the development of who I am today, I come from a long line of educators including teachers, coaches, Region Center Employees and College professors. Since birth I have been around the educational system and see the value in what it does to develop meaningful members of society.
I am coming to Lexington with 7 years of experience in education. I was a 4th grade teacher for 4 years including 2 in Smithville ISD and 2 in Bastrop ISD. After leaving the classroom, I had the opportunity to serve as an Instructional Coach working to develop curriculum and coach/train teachers on the most effective practices of instruction. Most recently, I served as the Assistant Principal of the campus I worked on for the previous 5 years in Bastrop ISD.
Family is extremely valuable to me and I cherish the moments I get to spend with my wife, Katharine and my two daughters Karlye and Katelyn! We enjoy hanging out our home in Lincoln and canvasing the outdoors. You can find us most weekends hanging by the pool or sitting around the BBQ pit or Fire pit enjoying the many things we have been blessed with. My hobbies are yard work including mowing and gardening, playing golf, BBQ’n and watching just about any sporting event on TV. Please feel free to stop by and visit with me at any time, I would love to get to know each and everyone of the people that make up this wonderful community! I look forward to serving you guys as your Principal at LES.
