Accelerated Reader

Our Kindergarten students also get involved with reading in the library.  They have their parents read the 2x2 reading list books to them.  This is also a set of 20 books recommended by Texas librarians.  Students who finish all 20 books are also awarded a certificate at the awards program.  

 

Grades 1 and 2 are immersed in our Accelerated Reader program, buffing up their reading skills with their AR books.  They check out books daily and read them quickly returning for more.  As you can see, Lexington Elementary thinks Reading Rocks!
