Lynette Brown is the Lexington Elementary School Principal. This will be her ninth year as principal. Before becoming the elementary principal, Mrs. Brown was the assistant elementary principal for three years. She started her career as a middle school reading and language arts teacher in Dime Box, Texas. Then she became a Title One reading teacher at Lexington Elementary helping young struggling readers. After several years of teaching reading, Mrs. Brown became interested in second language learners and began teaching ESL. As principal of Lexington Elementary School, Mrs. Brown believes that all children are capable of learning. The Lexington Elementary motto is “Every Student, Every Opportunity, Every Day!”
Lynette Brown graduated from Lexington High School. She then received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M and her Master of Education with a major in Education Administration from Texas State University.
Lynette is married to Phillip Brown. They have four sons, Jeremy, Clayton, Taylor, and Zachary. They are all graduates of Lexington High School. They have two daughters-in-law: Candy, the wife of Jeremy, and Victoria, the wife of Clayton. Lynette and Phillip also have three adorable grandchildren: Korban, son of Jeremy and Candy, and Leighton and Everleigh, daughters of Clayton and Victoria.
